From Firefighting to Home Inspection
Originally from a small farm in Illinois, Ross moved to Texas in 1984 and eventually graduated from Texas State University. After spending a few years bartending on Austin’s famous 6th Street, he shifted his focus to public service—attending the fire academy and joining Sam Bass Fire Department. He later served over 13 years with Georgetown Fire Department, rising to the role of engine operator and holding the position of President of the Georgetown Fire Fighters Association Local 3991 for six years.
A New Chapter with Purpose
After nearly two decades in the fire service, stepping away wasn’t easy—but sitting behind a desk was never an option. Home inspection offered the perfect fit: hands-on work, real-world problem solving, and the opportunity to continue helping people in meaningful ways. Ross earned his Professional Inspector license through Champions School of Real Estate and joined Guided Inspections in 2025 to learn from experienced professionals and deliver top-tier inspection services.
Life Beyond the Ladder
Ross and his wife, Cheryl, live in the Georgetown area with their son, Cade—who keeps them busy and active. When Cade heads off to college, their long-term goal is to trade Texas heat for cool mountain air, wherever that may take them.
